Introducing the Moonbeams & Sky Dreams Greeting Card Collection: A Tribute to Mother Nature and Lost Biological Connections
This collection is more than just ink on paper—it’s a piece of my heart, a tribute to the Mother I found in nature when the mothers in my life couldn’t be there for me.

This collection is more than just ink on paper—it’s a piece of my heart, a tribute to the Mother I found in nature when the mothers in my life couldn’t be there for me.
My Journey: Finding Comfort in the Wild
Growing up in the rural landscape of Iowa, I always longed for the outdoors. The homes I was adopted into were emotionally, sexually and mentally abusive, places where I never felt safe or understood. But outside? Outside was where I found my true refuge, and Mother Nature became the mother I never had.
I’ll never forget those early years as a little girl—a wild tomboy who loved getting dirty, climbing trees, and running free. I felt a unique connection to the sky, often climbing as high as I could, branch by branch, until I swayed with the treetops. Each time I stretched my arms to the sky, I imagined that every gust of wind brought me closer to my birth mother. The sky, vast and endless, became my baby blanket, wrapping me in comfort, even though I didn’t know her name or face. I knew she was somewhere under that same sky, and in that connection, I found peace.
But as I grew older, it was Mother Nature who filled the gap my mothers couldn’t. She’s been far more loving, compassionate, and nurturing than any other force in my life. My birth mother didn’t want me, and my adoptive mother couldn’t care for me, but Mother Nature embraced me with open arms. The sun, moon, stars, and trees became my constant companions, always there, always present, always offering solace.
Nature as My Source of Healing
Today, I continue to seek refuge in Mother Nature, especially when life feels overwhelming. Waterfalls have become my obsession—I’ve chased them all over Kentucky and Tennessee, feeling more alive with each cascading rush of water. Whether I’m hiking up a mountain or sipping tea at a scenic overlook, Mother Nature never fails to bring me back to the present moment. Her love is in every sunrise, every sunset, every river, creek, and bonfire. She heals me when no one else can.
And it was during a recent personal crisis, one that shook me to my core, that I found purpose again through creating this greeting card collection. Moonbeams & Sky Dreams isn’t just a project—it’s been my lifeline out of darkness. Each card reflects my journey of clinging to Mother Nature when life and family have failed me.
A Celebration of Us, of Nature, of Connection
This collection isn’t just for me—it’s for you. For anyone who has felt abandoned, hurt, or lost in the complexities of family, this is for those who have found their comfort in the arms of nature. It’s for anyone who has walked through fields, sat by a river, or watched a sunset and felt a deep, unspoken connection to something larger than themselves.
With 30 beautifully designed cards, The Moonbeams & Sky Dreams True-To-Life Greeting Card Collection is filled with well wishes, encouragement, love, and most importantly, validation. You’ll find words that uplift and remind you that, no matter how painful your journey with family may have been, there is a place where you are celebrated. Where your ancestors are cheering you on, and Mother Nature herself is holding you close.
Each card in this collection is a tribute to the healing power of nature and the love that flows from the earth when human love has let us down.
